Does DA get douchier each time I submit something, or does it just seem that way? Even with DSL, loading is slow and unweildy. Unfortunately there's not squat you can possibly do about it, so I guess I just have to get used to uploads taking twice as long as I think they should.
Hey, you remember that show Gummi Bears? You remember Gusto Gummi, Artiste Extraordinaire? This is sort of embarrassing to admit, but does anyone else think of him when painting and/or sculpting sometimes? By my calcs, either everyone who reads this is going to think I'm crazy, or I'm going to get two hundred comments that say, "I thought I was the only one!"
Oh, Gusto. We miss you.
Also, on YouTube, you can watch the theme song in like twelve different languages. Whether that's pathetic or awesome is a call I leave up to you.
Man, people are just *eating up* that lesbian purses drawing, aren't they? It's now officially been faved as much as all my other stuff combined, which strikes me as totally crazy. I wouldn't call it my funniest or weirdest or technically best, but hey, the mob has spoken. I guess there's really no telling what will be popular and what won't, but I'm not complaining.
Well, not about anything except Christmas music, anyway. Most radio stations are totally unlistenable by now. (New record: 96.5 played its first Perry Como Bullshit at 5:12 pm November 9th. NINTH.)
More pumpkins to be had. Hey, I'm gettin' pretty darn good at this.
In other news, it was a good birthday with excellent presents and a great party at my house followed by a party I attended at someone else's house for some third party's birthday that was the best damn party I have been to in a very long time.
Val went with me to Half Moon Bay again for this last round of pumpkins - I think the novelty of farm life intrigues her in a how-do-they-stand-all-the-dirt sort of way. She certainly doesn't mind all the temporary art cluttering our house these days, but she can't fathom why I just give them away. For me, the art is in the act. (Ooh, ain't I just hugely pretentious. Where's my damn scholarship?) Seriously, once the pumpkin is carved I don't much care what happens to it... everyone insists I should sell them, and one day I will, but for now I'm allll about the carving.
